Primary Admissions 2017 have now been allocated. If you wish to enquire where your child is on the waiting list, please contact the School Office on 01707 262556 or contact Herts County Council Admissions Team on 0300 123 4043. Please note that after the final continued interest round you will need to re-apply as an In-Year application, as the primary admissions waiting list is cleared. New parents, whose child has been offered a place at Green Lanes, will shortly receive a pack with an invitation to attend an Information Evening. These packs should be received before the end of May 2017.  


The school operates one intake per academic year.  Children start school in the September of the academic year they become five years of age. We are happy to show prospective parents around the school at any reasonable time, by prior arrangement through the school office. Parents are advised that initial contacts with the school are best made twelve to fifteen months before the expected date of admission.

Visits last about an hour. In the term prior to admission to the Foundation class, the children are invited to spend an afternoon at the school in the company of their parents. In addition, an introductory evening meeting is hosted by the Foundation teacher. The evening provides parents with information about the organisation and curriculum of the school and an opportunity for parents to ask questions.
