Primary Admissions 2025

Applications for Primary Admissions 2025 must be made through Hertfordshire County Council Admissions. Click here to start your application. Online applications open on 1st November 2024. The deadline for on time applications is 15th January 2025.

Green Lanes Admissions Information

Summer born children starting school - advice for parents

All admission applications must be made via Hertfordshire County Council and places, if available, are offered by them. The school does not have the power to offer places on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council. 

In-year Admissions

Applications for in-year admission to Green Lanes School must be made through Hertfordshire County Council, please follow the link below to view their website or call 0300 123 4043. To enquire if we have any vacancies in any group, please visit the Herts County Council website or alternatively contact the School Office on 01707 262556. Please note that we do not hold our own waiting lists.

If your child is offered a school place at Green Lanes Primary School, you will receive written confirmation from Hertfordshire County Council. You will need to reply to the letter to confirm if you wish to accept the place. Once you have accepted the place, please contact the school office on 01707 262556 to arrange to visit the school and to discuss your child's admission and start date.

Moving On - End of Phase transfer to secondary school  

At the end of Year 6, pupils move on to secondary school - this is known as 'end of phase transfer'. Parents and Carers will need to apply for secondary school places at the start of Year 6. Click here to view important dates for secondary school admissions.
